My family of 4 ate lunch here and loved it!! It was great Italian food. We had pizza, pasta, soup, cold cut tray, and drinks. We loved our food and the service was great!! Definitely a good choice for Italian dining in Hanoi!
The food was amazing, the ambience was great (we were on the second floor) and the service was 1st class. This was our last dinner in Vietnam and we would recommend it as a nice place to visit if you wanted a change from the Vietnamese cuisine.
Near l’opera mc gallery hotel an excellent option. Cuban Italian ambiance with Italian food. There is no mistake. If you visit this place once, you will come back. We had the pleasure of having Frank, a very polite and friendly Vietnamese waiter who received us as we were his guests for a long time. Very reasonable prices and try it excellent pizzas, good pastas selection or its tiger prawns with a good and reasonable price Italian wine.
I went to Pane e Vino on the 22nd of February and found it to be a really good experience. The antipasto was excellent followed by some top notch pizza, pasta and steak. The wine selection is top notch with some excellent Italian wineries to choose from. I would highly recommend anyone in Hanoi to give this restaurant a try.
Great home cooked Italian food, with decent prices and a service you will remember. A wine list that shows love for Italian food. We will come back again!
My wife and I went twice here during our trip to Hanoi. We found it in a nice street in the French neighborhood. It is a delicate, cozy place. Beautifully decorated with an Italian touch (but not the touristic Italian, more like a true Italian little restaurant). Menu is really Italian. Not an imitation, or Italian-origin food; caprese salad, a simple but delicate starter with delicious , real buffalo-milk mozzarella…(see more)
Great service and wine but best of all some of the best food we have had anywhere. Hoang the owner is very hospitable, and if you like a Cuban cigar this is the place. Went 3 times and are wishing it was next door to us in Melbourne.
This little restaurant right next to the Hotel de L’Opera is a real find. After living on Pho, rice and noodles for six days our group of six decided on something different and lucked into this place. Nhung really made the meal enjoyable, professional service coupled to good food and excellent lemoncello made our night. Highly recommended. If I am in Hanoi again will definitely go back!
the food here always boosts my appetite and love the freshness of the fish meals. Pizza is surprisingly delicious for me who is not really a pizza lover. Wine choice is great, nice recommendation from the manager. Staffs are friendly enough, just need to improve on English conversing with customers then all is good. Highly recommended
Expats in Hanoi have frequent, long-winded and often violent discussions about which place has the best pizza in Hanoi. As someone firmly in the Italian less is more camp (vs. the American more is more camp) this place gets my vote. Okay so it isn’t smothered in cheese or dripping with grease or doughy/fluffy – it’s crisp with fresh ingredients and only just the right amount of cheese! Just how I like it! The wine list is extensive and quite good value. Service is always excellent.
I love their wine collection and the owner with enthusiasm in sharing his passion about food, wine, cigar and more…and his caring for the guests. The staff is also very caring and friendly, feel like home whenever I was there. In addition, it is perfectly located. I was among frequent guests. Highly recommended.
After awhile we got tired of the south east Asian limited tastes pallet. So this genuine Italian restaurant was a welcome break. Great food, large selection on the menu, amazing wine list at a good price. A large by-the-glass list.
Lovely service, nice clean table cloths and cutlery. I had salmon fettuccine which was very tasty with lots of smoked salmon, we wanted to go back for the pizza which looked divine but ran out of time. We ordered entrees plus two mains I had three glasses of wine and my boyfriend had three beers all for under 30 nzd. Well worth it.
My partner and I went to this restaurant last night after finding it on trip advisor and it was fab. If you have had enough of the hustle bustle and moped mania then this place is perfect. Down a side street near the French quarter this little Italian provided excellent service, tasty food and not overly expensive. It’s not as cheap as some places but wine was on offer of buy one get one free, you get free bread and oils…(see more)
Pane e Vino is, in my opinion, the best pizza in Vietnam. The smokey crust from the wood-fired oven is chewy yet crunchy with a good balance of sauce and cheese. I can’t go past the Explosiva pizza with blue cheese, Italian salami and a nice kick of fresh chili. A must-try if you’re in Hanoi!
Travel to Hanoi a fair bit and this was a well kept secret. Beautiful bread – free, pre dinner tastings – free, house wine good and reasonably priced, food delicious. Spotless and staff friendly and unabtrusive. Pretty much fine dining in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere with very reasonable prices. Can’t wait to get back. Write the address down as it is tucked away.

If you can get your head around the concept of eating Italian food in Hanoi I think this place will win you over. The restaurant is located at 3 Nguyen Khac Can a narrow street that runs alongside the De l’Opera Hotel in the French Quarter. An honest unpretentious menu supported by a good wine list. The staff are plentiful, attentive and professional. Very reasonably priced too.
